As live music echoes across the lakefront, the crowds at the annual Pewaukee Kiwanis Beach Party celebrate the beginning of summer with delicious barbecue and ice-cold beverages. For two days, celebrants soak up the sunshine while partaking in family-friendly activities, including water sports, face painting, a pancake breakfast and, of course, plenty of food, drinks and dancing.
“It’s such a fun event and everyone in the community shows up,”

Kiwanis member Robbin Lyons says. “It’s very easygoing and is always a great time!” ...

to enable girls to attend high school.

Ten years ago, Canadian Wanda Bedard read a story about a young girl in Afghanistan who was sold to a warlord by her own father for CA$750. Then, she did something about it. She and a group of eight women formed a foundation called 60 Million Girls.

Since its formation in 2006, the Montréal-based public foundation has donated more than  ... Read more

This summer is the launch of K Corps, Kiwanis International’s youth exchange program for teen children of Kiwanis members or teens involved with Key Club. These students will stay with a host family for two weeks to learn the culture and participate in community service. We’re recruiting host families, teen participants and Kiwanis club coordinators. Sign up today.

In today’s high-tech world, it’s more important than ever that every club help establish a consistent Kiwanis “look” that’s recognized worldwide. By using the Kiwanis Brand & Style Guides, clubs can find official logos, fonts, colors, tips and templates to create materials and communications.

2016 Convention

Chris Hadfield

Chris Hadfield knows how to handle fear. The Canadian astronaut temporarily lost his ability to see while walking in space. At the convention’s Opening Session, you’ll hear his inspiring story and learn to master your phobias, whether they be spiders, heights or public speaking.

Discover the hidden sides of Toronto and its surrounding area. Book one or more day tours. Choices include a tour of Toronto's "Hollywood North," sports tours, a Mennonite tour with lunch, Niagara Falls, ethnic neighborhoods and more!

Again this year, Circle K and Aktion Club members will join Kiwanians in our convention’s host city in June. CKI will kick off its gathering with a Large Scale Service Project to help tackle homelessness in Toronto.

Dozens of boys and girls in the impoverished town of Rio Caña, Ecuador, run frantically, laugh boisterously and smile proudly. Such unrestrained behavior is way out of character for these kids. Oftentimes, even the youngest of them may have to forgo an education to help support their families financially. But not today.

West Lorne Kiwanians extend your impact to Jamaica

Eight years ago, Christiana School in Jamaica began to receive help from a new source. That’s when the West Lorne Kiwanis Club in Rodney, Ontario, began to collect and donate needed items to the school. In 2014, the club’s support for Christiana School reached a new level—thanks to the generosity of the Kiwanis International Foundation’s donors. Read more about efforts to supply laptops to this school.

Progress to eliminate a cruel disease no mother should fear
You’re making a difference. As of June 16, 2014, the Kiwanis family has raised more than US$54.2 million in cash and pledges for The Eliminate Project. These crucial funds will save or protect at least 30 million women and their future children from tetanus. Read more about immunization activities.
Another country eliminates tetanus

In Madagascar, a long-anticipated result has arrived: The World Health Organization’s validation survey shows the country has eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus. Kiwanis International President Gunter Gasser and a Kiwanis delegation saw the progress first-hand during a site visit to Madagascar last fall for The Eliminate Project. Read more about efforts in Madagascar.

Making your impact go further with a donation of stock

If you are considering a significant gift this year, a stock gift may make sense for you. A stock that has increased in value is an extremely popular asset for charitable giving if it has been held for longer than one year. It is a way to make a gift to an organization go even further while also realizing important benefits for yourself. Read more about donating stock.
